(Butte, MT) – Keynote Speaker Safra Catz released the following statement before taking the stage with Montana’s senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus at the 6th Montana Economic Development Summit in Butte.
Catz is President and CFO of enterprise technology giant Oracle. Oracle began doing business in Bozeman in 2011 after being drawn to Montana in part because of the national exposure of Baucus’ past Summits.
“Senator Baucus has worked very hard to raise the profile for high-tech opportunities in Montana, and we at Oracle have been very impressed by the quality workforce and opportunities for growth in Bozeman. I look forward to continuing to work with Max and the Bozeman community to grow Oracle jobs in Montana. Building on our acquisition of RightNow, making Bozeman the global cloud center for all of Oracle is an example of how we can continue to grow in Montana,” said Safra Catz, President, Oracle Corporation.
In October 2011, Oracle purchased RightNow Technologies, a leading provider of cloud-based customer service, based in Bozeman and has since announced plans to make Bozeman it’s “global cloud center,” – the headquarters for all of Oracle’s cloud-related business, which is the company’s fastest growing business.
With more than 380,000 customers-including 100 of the Fortune 100-and with deployments across a wide variety of industries in more than 145 countries around the globe, Oracle offers an optimized and fully integrated stack of business hardware and software systems.
