Jobs Summit Alert – Whitman Announces Plans to Work with Montana Colleges and Universities to Grow Entrepreneurship Training

(Butte, Mont.) – Today at the 6th Economic Development Summit in Butte, HP President and CEO Meg Whitman announced plans to work with Montana colleges and universities to grow opportunities for entrepreneurship training in the state.

HP will work with interested leaders and faculty to integrate its HP LIFE e-Learning initiative into community colleges, tribal colleges and universities across the state, Whitman said during a satellite conversation with Montana’s senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus on the main stage.

“With US Colleges counting in the thousands, there is profound potential to make a positive difference in job creation and grow healthy local economies,” Whitman told Baucus and the crowd.

“America’s economic future depends on the skills of its workforce. And HP is collaborating with education leaders, institutions and governments to develop classroom and ‘beyond the classroom’ innovations to improve graduates’ job prospects and help them succeed in an increasingly complex and demanding global economy.”
